Anna-Maria Gradante

Anna-Maria Gradante (born December 26, 1976 in Remscheid ) is a German judoka . She won the only bronze medal for the German judo team at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney .

Life

She grew up in Wermelskirchen as the daughter of a Sicilian father and a German mother. At the age of three she came to judo by chance through her brother Corrado Gradante. She did an apprenticeship with the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr . Your current trainer is Paul Klenner. First she was a member of Remscheider TV, and since 2008 she has been playing for Bayer 04 Leverkusen . Since January 2009 she has been working as a midwife in the Gummersbach district hospital.
