Anna Lillesø Nielsen (born March 29, 1994 ) is a Danish handball player who belongs to the squad of the Danish national beach handball team.

Career

Lillesø comes from Funen , where she played in the youth division of HC Odense . She then joined the women's team at Aalborg HK. Here Lillesø was initially used in the back room. After Aalborg HK was promoted to the 1st division - the second highest Danish league - she was retrained as an outside player . In December 2016, she left Aalborg after two and a half years and moved to the second division Vendsyssel Håndbold. In summer 2019 Lillesø signed a contract with the Danish first division club EH Aalborg . In the 2019/20 season, she scored 45 goals in 22 games. Then Lillesø moves to league competitor Silkeborg-Voel KFUM .

Lillesø has so far completed 10 international matches for the Danish national beach handball team, in which she scored 4 points. During the Beach Handball Euro 2019 she made her debut for the national team on July 3, 2019. During the tournament it was used twice and won the gold medal. She also won the gold medal at the World Beach Games 2019 in Doha .
