Petra Wolf

Petra Wolf (born August 16, 1962 in Kassel ) is a German veterinarian .

Life

Wolf studied veterinary medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Hanover from 1983 to 1988 . Under Josef Kamphues , she did her doctorate from 1988 to 1990 on the "Influence of a combined administration of protected fats and proteins on digestive physiological parameters in sheep". From 1990 to 1993 she was a research assistant at the Institute for Animal Nutrition at the Free University of Berlin . From 1993 to 1998 Wolf was Academic Councilor aZ at the Institute for Animal Nutrition of the Veterinary University Foundation. Afterwards she was head of the service department of the Institute for Animal Nutrition in Hanover until 2014. 1999 veterinarian for animal nutrition and dietetics . In 2009 he completed his habilitation at the Free University of Berlin. In 2009 she received the “Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition” (ECVCN) and in 2010 the “Diplomate of the European College of Porcine Health Management” (ECPHM).

Since 2014 she has held the professorship for nutritional physiology and animal nutrition at the University of Rostock . In 2015 she received the authorization to train as a Diplomate (international specialist veterinarian) from the College of Veterinary and Comparative Nutrition and in 2016 for the subject "Animal Nutrition and Dietetics". She has been a member of the Faculty Council and Dean of Studies at the University of Rostock since 2017 .

  • 2013: Helmut Meyer Award for the research project "Effects of different vitamins C levels in the diet on the urinary pH level in rabbits" with Birgit Zumbrock, Josef Kamphues
