Anna Schweppe
Anna Schweppe (born July 24, 1913 in Ochtrup ; † December 8, 2007 ; nee Scheipers ) was the twin sister of the Catholic priest Hermann Scheipers .
Career
After her brother was imprisoned and transferred to the Dachau concentration camp , Schweppe maintained contact with him at risk of death . She smuggled letters, food, and medicines into the camp. When, after a fit of weakness, he was transferred to the disability block, from where prisoners were regularly deported for gassing, Anna Schweppe and her father penetrated the Reich Main Security Office in Berlin. Her intervention saved her brother and presumably other priests from death in the gas chamber.
