Anna Sgroi (born April 20, 1959 in Alcamo ( Sicily )) is an Italian cook.

Career

Anna Sgroi, a trained hairdresser from Sicily, has no formal training as a cook, but did a three-day internship with the Italian chef Gualtiero Marchesi (1930-2017), who was awarded three Michelin stars from 1985 to 2008. In 1987, the self-taught cook Sgroi opened the Anna e Sebastiano in Hamburg with her then partner and received her first Michelin star in 1990. From 1999 she was the managing director of the Vero bistro in Hamburg .

In 2002 she opened her restaurant Sgroi in the Hamburg district of St. Georg , which has been awarded a star by the Michelin Guide since 2004 . At the end of 2012 she closed this restaurant.

In April 2013 she opened her restaurant Anna Sgroi in the Hamburg district of Rotherbaum in the rooms of the former traditional "Alt Pöseldorfer Bierstuben".

Your restaurant was awarded one star in the Michelin 2014 to 2016.
