history
The church was built by Jan Kotelnicki in 1772 in the classicism style on the initiative of August Aleksander Czartoryski . In the second half of the 19th century, the church was rebuilt in the neo-renaissance style by Enrico Marconi , Leonard Marconi and Jan Huss . The figures go back to the sculptor Bolesław Syrewicz and the frescoes to the painter Antoni Kolberg . The church survived the Second World War, but was sacked by the German occupiers.
Close to the church is the neo-Gothic Potocki mausoleum , also designed by Enrico Marconi in 1834 and built by Jakub Tatarkiewicz and Konstanty Hegel , in which Stanisław Kostka Potocki and Aleksandra Potocka were to be buried. Her son Aleksander Stanisław Potocki commissioned the construction of the mausoleum .
