Anne-Marie Flammersfeld

Anne-Marie Flammersfeld (born July 21, 1978 ) is a German ultra runner and extreme athlete . She is the first woman in the world to win the Racing The Planet 4 Deserts Series. To do this, she ran 250 kilometers each year through the driest, windiest, hottest and coldest desert in the world. She has won other ultra trail competitions and is a member of the German national team in ultra trail running. In 2015 she became the world record holder in high-speed running up Kilimanjaro . She lives in St. Moritz and works there as a personal trainer, sports scientist and mental coach.

Life

After graduating from high school, Anne-Marie Flammersfeld studied sports science at the German Sport University Cologne with a focus on rehabilitation / prevention with a specialization in psychosomatics and sports rehabilitation. She gives lectures for companies and associations and is an ambassador for the Paulchen Esperanza Foundation. She is also OC President of the Engadine Summer Run and organizes her own trail running projects.

  • March: 1st place at Racing the Planet: Atacama Crossing, 250 km = as the first woman to win the Racing the Planet Grand Slam
  • June: 1st place at Racing the Planet: Gobi March, 250 km
  • October: 1st place at Racing the Planet: Sahara Race, 250 km
  • November: 1st place at Racing the Planet: The Last Desert, 250 km

2013

  • July: Bottom Up Switzerland: in 5 days from the lowest to the highest point in Switzerland: 210 km 9500 V +
  • November: 2nd place in the Manaslu Trail Race: 220 km 14000V +

2014

  • April: 1st place in the UVU North Pole Marathon: 42 km
  • June: 1st place at the Zugspitz Ultratrail : 100 km 5400V +
  • July: Bottom Up Iran: 6000hm, 180 km in 5 days
  • September: 1st place at the Transylvania Trail Traverse 106 km, 8500V +
  • November: 1st place at the UvU Volcano Marathon, 42 km

2015

  • May: 1st place at the Tuscany Crossing 53 km, 2000V +
  • May: 4th place with the German team and 21st place in the individual ranking at the IUA World Championship Ultra Trail Running, 85 km, 5400V +
  • July: World record of women on Kilimanjaro : Fast run uphill with start at Umbwe Gate to the summit in 8 hours 32 minutes (and a total time of 12h 58min up and down)
  • September: 5th place at the Transalpine Run

2016

  • May: 2nd place in the Trans Atlas Marathon, 280km, 14000V + in Morocco
  • June: 1st place in the Dolomiti Extreme Trail Race, 53km, 3800V + in Italy
