Anne Barrett
Anne Barrett (born 1911 near Portsmouth , † 1986 ) is a British writer.
She became known as a children's and young adult book author through the novel Midway , first published in 1967, which was first published in 1970 in German translation by Arena Verlag under the title Mein Tiger Mitty . Since then, the book has appeared in several editions and publishers. Through her father, a senior naval officer, she traveled extensively at an early age and spent her childhood and adolescence in South Africa and the Republic of China .
