Anne Bourchier, 7th Baroness Bourchier
Anne Bourchier, 7th Baroness Bourchier († January 28, 1571 ) was an English noblewoman .
Life
She was the only child of Henry Bourchier, 2nd Earl of Essex . When he died in 1540 without male heirs, she inherited the title of Baron Bourchier in her own right . The paternal titles Earl of Essex and Viscount Bourchier were only inheritable in the male line and expired.
On February 9, 1527, she married William Parr, 1st Baron Parr of Kendal . On April 17, 1543, he disregarded her and applied to parliament to annul the marriage. In 1552 the marriage was finally annulled by parliamentary act, their children were declared illegitimate and Williams' second marriage, which had now been concluded, was legitimized.
Anne thus left no legitimate offspring and withdrew from the public. Upon her death, her second grandnephew Walter Devereux, Second Viscount Hereford inherited her title.
