Annely Akkermann (born October 5, 1972 in Linaküla on the island of Kihnu in western Estonia ) is an Estonian politician.

Life

In 1990 she graduated from high school in Pärnu . In 2009 she graduated from the University of Tartu with a Bachelor's degree in Economics.

From 1990 to 1991 she worked at the commercial bank in Pärnu. politics

Her political commitment began in 2002 when she joined the conservative party Isamaa ja Res Publica Liit (IRL). From 2005 to 2009 she was the mayor of Kihnu Township. She later served as the deputy mayor of Pärnu from 2009 to 2011. Since 2011 she has been an elected member of the Riigikogu (Estonian Parliament) and a member of the Environment Committee and the Special Committee for the Control of the State Budget. She was also the chairwoman of the IRL-Naiskogu (IREN), the women's association of the IRL.

In 2018 she left the IRL and joined the Estonian Reform Party (Eesti Reformierakond) . In the parliamentary elections in Estonia in 2019 , she was able to win a mandate for them in the Riigikogu , after failing in the re-election for the IRL in 2015

Private

Annely Akkermann speaks Estonian and English. She is divorced and has three children (one son and two daughters).
