Annika Mombauer

Annika Mombauer (* 1967 ) is a German historian teaching in the United Kingdom .

Life

Mombauer studied history at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster and at the University of Sussex , where she graduated in 1998 with a Ph.D. made.

In 2003 she was a visiting fellow at the Australian Defense Force Academy in Canberra. From 2009 to 2013 she worked in the Research Steering Group at the History Department of the Open University in Milton Keynes. Since May 2014 she has been Associate Dean (Research) of the Arts Faculty.

Her research focus is European history, especially the First World War . From 2006 to 2011 she was the managing director of the German History Society . She is a member of the editorial board from 1914-1918-online .
