Anonymus Rex (orig. Anonymous Rex) is a fantasy thriller by the American writer Eric Garcia .

action

The dinosaurs are not extinct, they are alive and have evolved. To deceive people, they crafted fakes of dinosaur bones. In skin-tight latex costumes, the dinosaurs dress up as humans and live hidden under them. Even a football team is made up of camouflaged brontosaurs .

One of them is the detective Vincent Rubio, a camouflaged velociraptor . Things seem to be going down with him: his partner Ernie Watson is killed, his car is towed away, his boss (a irascible Tyrannosaurus Rex ) wants to fire him and he is addicted to basil .

But a fire in a dinosaur disco is supposed to save Vincent's career. What began with a suspicion of insurance fraud developed into the biggest case of Vincent's career. The trail leads to the rich Carnosaurus widow Judith McBride, whose husband was inexplicably murdered and to the scientist Dr. Emil Vallardo, who is known for his unorthodox experiments. Does the fire have anything to do with them? Does Judith McBride know more about it than she reveals? And what is Dr. Vallardo in a disused hospital? Vincent has to hurry because this experiment could change not only the dinosaurs, but also the future of humanity.
