Another Messiah was a Dutch metal band from Nijmegen that was founded in 2002 and broke up in 2008.

history

The band was formed in 2002. In 2002 the first EP called Another Renaissance followed . This was followed by a tour through the Netherlands and one through Central Europe. In 2004 work began on the band's debut album. The album Dark Dreams, My Child was recorded in late 2005 at Excess Studios under the direction of producer Joost van de Broek . Another tour of Central Europe followed in 2006, which was followed by a tour of the Netherlands. In 2007 the band held a small tour of Europe. At the beginning of the year, the band reached a contract with Restrain Records , which appeared in the same year Dark Dreams, My Child , before the group broke up the following year.

style

The band itself describes their style as "Post Doom". The use of an oboe is particularly characteristic . The vocals alternate between clear vocals and guttural vocals typical of Death Metal . The band's songs are progressive and also have a power metal component.
