The attack on the Imam Jafar as Sādiq Mosque was an Islamist terrorist attack on June 26, 2015 in Kuwait City .

On June 26, 2015, a suicide bomber detonated during Friday prayers in the Imam Jafar as Sādiq Mosque in the as-Sawābir district (الصوابر) an explosive device. 26 people died and 227 were injured.

The IS militia claimed responsibility for the attack on the Shiite mosque. This was the first such attack on Shiites in Kuwait .

The Kuwaiti security forces identified the suicide bomber named Fahad Suleiman Abdulmohsen al-Gabbaa, aka Abu Suleiman al-Muwahhid.

On the same day, there was an attack in Sousse, Tunisia, and a terrorist attack in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier near the city of Lyon in France.
