A hinged door is a door , the door wing is on a side of "chipped" (fixed). There are stops ( hinges or door hinge ) that hold the door. The opposite side (lock side) contains the lock . In contrast to the single- action door , a sliding door is guided on the upper and lower edge .

A hinged door is also known as a swing door , as the door swings out around its hinges . A hinged door is a single-action door, the door of which can open by 180 °.

Straps and locks together with the handles are called fittings .

Hinged doors are the most commonly used doors.

As Stulptüren double action doors are called. The central stop of the opening sash is formed by the faceplate of the "French sash".
