Colloredo brewhouse in Hallein

The Colloredo residence (also called the Colloredo brewhouse ) is located in the city of Hallein in the district of the same name in Salzburg (Schifferplatz 3).

history

The Colloredo residence was first mentioned in a document around 1798 under Archbishop Hieronymus Colloredo . However, the Colloredo brewhouse played no role in the salt production, as the entire system turned out to be a technical faulty design. Despite a renovation, it was not possible to remedy these deficiencies and operations were completely stopped again in 1803. The “Colloredo Sudhaus” was the last newly built brewhouse before the salt works were built on the Pernerinsel from 1854 to 1862. In 1989, the entire salt production in the state of Salzburg ended.

The kitchen studio “Creativ Werkstatt” (owner Michael Angerer) is available for rent in the lower area.

The event location was opened on March 16, 2017.
