Anstey Castle

Anstey Castle is a ruined castle in the village of Anstey in the English county of Hertfordshire .

Eustace, Count of Boulogne , had the stone moth erected in the 12th century. This fortress was fortified by an opponent of King John Ohneland during the Magna Carta War of 1215-1216 . Only the castle hill has survived to this day.
