Antonio da Costa Lelan

António da Costa Lelan is a politician and teacher from Oe-Cusse Ambeno , East Timor .

From 1984 Lelan, who had previously worked as a teacher, switched to politics. In 2001 he was elected to the Constituent Assembly of East Timor with 8,207 votes (36.06%) as a direct candidate for his home district Oe-Cusse Ambeno , which in 2002 became the national parliament. Lelan was the only non-party MP in parliament and stayed until the end of the 2007 legislature.
