Antanas Valys
Antanas Valys (born May 16, 1952 in Kretinga ) is a Lithuanian politician .
Life
In 1962 he learned in Bajorai . After graduating from high school in Kretinga in 1969, he graduated from the Vilniaus universitetas with a diploma in industrial planning in 1974 and from 1982 to 1984 studied at the CPSU party college in Leningrad . In 1994 he continued his education in Finland and in 1997 at the Administrative Institute in Paris .
In 1974 he worked in Mažeikiai and was then a functionary of the Lietuvos komunistų partija . In 1992 he was economic director at UAB "IDA", from 1998 to 2001 a consultant for Algirdas Brazauskas , from 2000 to 2004 a member of the Seimas narys. From 2006 to 2008 and since 2013 he has been Deputy Minister of Defense of Lithuania , Deputy of Juozas Olekas in the Butkevičius cabinet .
From 1990 he was a member of the Lietuvos Demokratieinė darbo partija , from 2001 the Lietuvos socialdemokratų partija .
