The Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition (ASOC) , German  Antarctic and Polar Sea Association , is a global association of non-governmental environmental protection organizations based in Washington, DC. The purpose is to protect the polar sea and the Antarctic . The organization, founded in 1978, has over 200 member associations in over 40 countries worldwide, for Germany Greenpeace - Germany , WWF Germany , BUND and Deutscher Naturschutzring (DNR).
