Ante Pavelić (politician, 1869)
Ante Pavelić (born May 19, 1869 in Gospić , Austria-Hungary , today Croatia ; † February 11, 1938 in Zagreb , Kingdom of Yugoslavia , today Croatia) was a Yugoslav politician. In 1918 he was Vice President of the National Council of the State of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs .

On October 29, 1918 , a meeting of the Croatian Sabor took place at which it was decided that Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina would separate from Austria-Hungary and then merge in the state of Slovenes, Croats and Serbs . After this decision, he and the Serbian politician Svetozar Pribičević became vice-president of the National Council of this new state, which was headed by the Slovenian politician Anton Korošec .
