Anti-Federalist Papers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Anti-Federalist Papers are a collection of articles that argued against the ratification of the United States Constitution .

Unlike the authors of the Federalist Papers promoting ratification , the authors of the Anti-Federalist Papers were not organized; rather, they are independent authors and publications. For this reason, there is no final consensus on which articles should be included in the Anti-Federalist Papers.

One of the main reasons against the constitution - which was not only mentioned by declared opponents of the constitution - was the lack of a Bill of Rights. Although the constitution was initially ratified without a Bill of Rights, the constitution was soon supplemented with additional articles that make up the Bill of Rights of the United States' Constitution .
