Antimyolemmal antibody

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Antimyolemmal antibodies (AMLA) are formed during heart muscle inflammation . The antibodies bind both to the viruses responsible for myocardial inflammation and also cross-reactively against the myolemma of the heart muscle cells. Like antisarcolemmal antibodies, they are used as diagnostic markers for detecting myocardial inflammation.
