Antiochus (sculptor)
Antiochus was an ancient sculptor who perhaps worked in the late first or early second century AD. He is only known from his signature on a marble woman's head from Susa , where he describes himself as the son of Dryas. The woman's head is often assigned to the Musa , who ruled at the turn of the ages. Stylistically, however, the work dates to the turn of the second century AD and perhaps rather depicts the wife of a local ruler.
