Antipater of Thessalonica
Antipater of Thessalonike († around 1) was a Greek epigram poet. He was a teacher in Rome under Augustus . Over 100 epigrams have been preserved from Antipater , including poems of homage to the emperor. He died around the year 1. He is said to have written a poem in which the seven wonders of the world are listed, but this poem is ascribed to both him and Antipater of Sidon (2nd century BC). This list does not correspond to the ancient seven wonders of the world known to us.
