The Anton Bruckner Institute Linz (ABIL) researches the life and work of Anton Bruckner .
history
The Anton Bruckner Institute Linz was founded in 1978 on the initiative of the artistic director of the Brucknerhaus Horst Stadlmayr . His tasks were expanded in 2006 and since then have also included the processing of regional Upper Austrian music history.
Act
The aims of the institute include basic research, the collection and documentation of source material and the organization of scientific symposia, lectures and exhibitions. The institute has a data and document collection as well as a library.
The scientific results are published in several series of publications:
- Anton Bruckner. Documents and Studies (since 1979)
- Symposium and conference reports (since 1980) and Bruckner lectures (since 1983/84)
- Bruckner yearbooks (since 1980)
- ABIL information (since 1981)
- Announcements from the Anton Bruckner Institute Linz (since 2008)
