Anton Burghart (also: Burghard and Burkart) was a sculptor who worked in Freiburg im Breisgau from 1865 to 1876 .

Burghart worked together with his colleague Karl Eckert (also Ekert) from 1864, before he worked alone from around 1868. Around 1870 he began training with the sculptor Wilhelm Wintermantel, who at the end of the 19th century took over the execution of the Friburgia group in Stühlinger for Gustav Adolf Knittel .

Burghart created several tombs in the old cemetery in Freiburg . These include the Maidele grave († 1866), the Rotzinger († 1871) grave and the most famous grave in the cemetery - that of Caroline Christine Walter († 1867).
