Anton Karl Bolzmann

Anton Karl Bolzmann , also Anton Karl Boltzmann , ( May 8, 1808 in Vienna - August 3, 1851 ) was an Austrian theater actor and director .

Life

Following his parents' wish, Bolzmann first studied mathematics after graduating from high school . On the side, his preference for the theater brought him into the acquaintance of actors. He liked to declaim and was discovered by court actor Siegfried Gotthelf Koch . He persuaded Bolzmann's father to bring him to the Hofburg .

After the father had consented, he was engaged in 1825 after a successful audition. However, since he was not sufficiently employed there, he moved to Aachen in 1828 and then to Leipzig until Easter 1831. Then came Magdeburg and in 1833 Leipzig again. In 1835 he went to Kassel, where he also worked as a director until his death.
