Anton Ottmann

Anton Ottmann (born July 20, 1945 in Heidelberg ) is a German writer and journalist.

Life

Anton Ottmann studied primary and secondary school teachers, secondary school teachers and educational science with psychology and mathematics. He received his doctorate as Dr. phil. at the University of Heidelberg. In 1969 his first scientific article on mathematics didactics appeared. In the 1970s and 1980s, he was the author of several studies on problems in teaching maths to foreign students.

Since the 1980s he has published working materials for mathematics lessons for German and foreign students in grades 1 to 10, including for special school students. His first publication in the field of fiction appeared in 1996 with “Christmas Today”. This was followed by other Christmas stories in “Christmas is Every Year” and short stories in “The Parisian” and “Stories from Baden and Alsace”. He has received several dialect prizes and is a member of the Association of German Writers. Ottmann lives in Dielheim , Rhein-Neckar-Kreis.
