Anton Schwarzkopf

Anton Schwarzkopf Jr. (born July 8, 1924 in Behlingen in the district of Günzburg ; † July 30, 2001 ) was a German designer of roller coasters and rides .

After he took over the Schwarzkopf GmbH from his parents Anton Sr. and Maria Schwarzkopf in the early 1950s , it grew very strongly, among other things due to the company's inventions. Together with Werner Stengel, Anton Schwarzkopf is considered to be the inventor of the modern vertical looping . In 1978 a film portrait of him and his work was commissioned for the SDR . Schwarzkopf withdrew from the business in 1995 and was awarded the honorary prize of the "Association of German Amusement Equipment Manufacturers" in 1996.

Anton Schwarzkopf died on July 30, 2001 after years of Parkinson's disease .

His son Wieland Schwarzkopf is also active in the leisure industry and was the owner of Wieland Schwarzkopf GmbH .
