Anton Wattaul

Anton Wattaul (born May 13, 1957 in Wieselburg ) is an Austrian entrepreneur and former politician ( FPÖ / BZÖ ). Wattaul was a member of the Austrian National Council between 1999 and 2006 .

education and profession

Anton Wattaul attended elementary and secondary school in Wieselburg between 1963 and 1972 and then learned to be a car mechanic by 1976. He did military service in 1977 and obtained the license examination for freight transport in 1977.

Wattaul worked overseas between 1977 and 1982 and was employed by a transport company between 1982 and 1989. He has been a self-employed transport company since 1990.

politics

Anton Wattaul was a city councilor in Wieselburg between 1995 and 2000 and was a member of the local council until 2004. On October 29, 1999, he entered the National Council for the first time as a representative of the FPÖ. He was a member of the National Council until December 19, 2002, but returned to the National Council on March 5, 2003. After he left parliament on July 6, 2004, he was again given a seat in the National Council on September 7, 2005. In the course of the split in the FPÖ, Wattaul joined the BZÖ and was elected regional chairman of the BZÖ Lower Austria on January 29, 2006. As early as July 18, 2006 Wattaul resigned from his position as regional chairman, because “dealing with people in the new BZÖ under Peter Westenthaler” was not what he had envisioned. When he resigned, he did not rule out a return to the FPÖ. On October 29, 2006 Wattaul resigned from the National Council.

Anton Wattaul has a child.
