Antoniano
The Antoniano dei Frati Minori from Bologna ( Italy ) is an institution dedicated to worldwide solidarity , entertainment culture and social communication regardless of nationality, religion, gender, language and race. The institution was founded in 1953 by the Franciscan Minorites Padre Gabriele Adani, Padre Ernesto Caroli, Padre Benedetto Dalmastri and Padre Berardo Rossi.

The activities back then
The original initiatives were a soup kitchen , the Accademia d'Arte Drammatica (Academy for Dramatic Art) and the movie theater . Since the 1960s, the work has also existed through television and music productions such as the internationally known Zecchino d'Oro , which Antoniano organizes, produces and supports with his Piccolo Coro dell'Antoniano , a world-famous Italian children's choir, founded in 1963 .
The activities today
On September 20, 2006, Antoniano was recognized as a “ non-profit organization ” (Italian: Organizzazione non lucrativa di utilità sociale - ONLUS) for its charitable activities as well as for its health and social welfare .
The work of the non-profit organization Antoniano-ONLUS mainly consists of the following initiatives:
- Soup kitchen and the Centro d'Ascolto for socially disadvantaged people
- Il Fiore della Solidarietà ("The Flower of Solidarity"), worldwide, solidarity support u. a. for the construction of hospitals, schools etc. in the shortest possible time
- Antoniano Insieme , a rehabilitation center for children
The director is friar Giampaolo Cavalli.
