Antonio Rada

José Antonio Rada Angulo ( June 13, 1937 - June 1, 2014 ) was a Colombian football player .

Athletic career

Rada played from 1958 in the adult division at Unión Magdalena , in 1962 he moved to Deportivo Pereira .

As a national player, Rada took part in the 1962 World Cup with the Colombian national team. Actually only a substitute, he replaced Delio Gamboa, who was injured in the first group game against Uruguay , in the games against the Soviet Union and Yugoslavia . In the 4-4 draw against the USSR he was successful as a goal scorer, but the point gained in this game was the only one in the course of the tournament and so he had to travel home early with the team.

Antonio Rada coached Real Cartagena in the 1990s .

Rada died of prostate cancer at the age of 76 .
