Antonius Andreae

Antonius Andreae , also Antonio Andreas, Antonio Andrés, Antoni Andreu (* around 1280 in Tauste , Aragon ; † 1320 ) was a Spanish Franciscan and student of Johannes Duns Scotus .

Little is known about his life. He probably studied first at the University of Lleida (Lérida) and from around 1304 to 1307 in Paris, where Duns Scotus also taught. It is known that Andreae taught at the University of Lleida in 1315. His nickname was Doctor Dulcifluus , occasionally Doctor Scotellus (a name that was also used for Peter of Aquila ).

His Quaestiones super XII libros Metaphysicae Aristotelis were printed in 1481.
