Anya Kochoff

Anya Kelly Kochoff (born February 20, 1969 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American screenwriter and former tennis player .

Life

Anya Kelly Kochoff is the daughter of television producer Christopher Kochoff and an actress. She is also the younger sister of actress Kristina Kell . With the help of a tennis scholarship, she was able to study at the University of Southern California . After graduating in journalism , she played two more years as a WTA professional. An injury at a tournament in Tokyo ended her career. She then became the assistant to the authors of Ellen and Frasier . Shortly thereafter, she first worked for Brillstein Gray Entertainment , then developed scripts with writers for Davis Entertainment and sold them as a producer. She sold her first screenplay with Something Wiccked and left Davis Entertainment to focus on her own project. She was then able to sell her screenplay for the film The Monster-in-Law for 1.3 million US dollars .
