Aparna Balan

Aparna Balan (born August 9, 1986 in Calcutta ) is an Indian badminton player .

Career

Aparna Balan won the Indian Junior Individual Championships in 2003, only to win the South Asian Games for the first time the following year. In 2006 and 2010 she won two more titles at the South Asian Games. In 2007 she won the Indian individual championships for the first time. In 2010 she won silver with the Indian team in the team competition at the Commonwealth Games.
