Aperto Piano Quartet

The Aperto Piano Quartet ( APQ ) is a German piano quartet that was founded in 2000. Founding members were Frank-Immo Zichner ( piano ), Gernot Süßmuth ( violin ), Felix Schwarz (viola) and Hans-Jakob Eschenburg ( violoncello ). The APQ has been playing with the following line-up since 2017: Frank-Immo Zichner (piano), Frank Reinecke (violin), Stefan Fehlandt (viola) and Jonathan Weigle (cello).

The quartet has premiered several pieces that were specially composed for the Aperto Piano Quartet.
