The Apex Group was a French holding company that was involved in the construction of sport aircraft and their individual parts.
The group consists of the individual companies Centrair, Cap Industries, Apex Industries and the sales company Apex Aircraft, which sells aircraft of the Robin and Alpha brands manufactured in the group.
In 1988, Apex took over the business of Avions Pierre Robin with the famous yodel aircraft. In 1997 the manufacturer Avions Mudry joined the group. Robin was best known in Germany for his tow planes , some of which were also offered with Porsche aircraft engines .
In 2004 around 160 people were employed, who generate an annual turnover of 20 million euros. Around 60 aircraft were produced each year. The group supplied a total of 4000 aircraft worldwide with spare parts and services.
In autumn 2008 the Apex Group filed for bankruptcy . The Robin company was bought by CEAPR. The Canadian division of the Apex Aircraft sales company still exists.
