Pleudihen-sur-Rance apple mill
The apple mill of Pleudihen-sur-Rance in the Côtes-d'Armor department in Brittany in France is on the La Ville Hervy farm, in Pleudihen-sur-Rance where the Pleudihen, one of the famous ciders, was made and is now the “Musée de la Pomme et du Cider ”.
In the courtyard is an old horse-powered apple mill , including the wheel, which weighs around 700 kg. Mills of this type remained in use until the beginning of the 20th century. The granite trough from another apple mill can be found in Lanloup's castle garden. Formerly operated and restored apple mills can also be found in Germany (e.g. Ehrenburgertal apple mill)
