Apis (seer)
Apis ( Greek Ἄπις ) is referred to at least in one work of Greek mythology as a seer and healer, as the son of Apollo .
In Aeschylus ' work Ἑκέτιδες (Hikétides; The Protectors ) , Pelasgos describes Apis as the son of Apollo , coming from Nafpaktia , as a seer and healer who cleared Pelasgos' land of human-murdering monsters, which is why the land was named Apia in his honor.
