Aplaḫanda
Aplaḫanda was a king of Karkemiš who corresponded as a contemporary with Jasmaḫ-Addu and Zimri-Lim of Mari , Jarim-Lim of Jamchad and Ḫammu-rapi I of Babylon . So he ruled in the 18th century BC. During this time the economy flourished in Karkemiš, based on the trade in horses and tin, which had to pass through Karkemiš on the way from Mesopotamia to Anatolia. It was probably through this trade that one of its seals came to Anatolia, where it was discovered by archaeologists during excavations.
