Apollodorus (5th century BC)
Apollodoros ( Greek Άπολλόδωρος ) (active in the 5th century BC) was a Greek sculptor . He is with Pliny d. Ä. , Naturalis historia 34, 86 mentioned. After that he is said to have created a number of statues of philosophers. No work can be ascribed to him with certainty. An artist's inscription in Athens is sometimes associated with him, but this assignment is doubtful. Silanion created a portrait of him.
Possibly the sculptor Apollodoros is identical to the Socrates student of the same name .
