The Appalachia Nunatakker are a group of up to 600 m high Nunatakker in the north of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . They tower up there on the west side of the Elgar Uplands .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1977 after the orchestral work Appalachia by the British composer Frederick Delius (1862-1934), who in turn gave its name to the nearby Delius Glacier .
