The Delius Glacier is a glacier in the north of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It flows west of the Elgar Uplands to the Nichols Snowfield .
It was discovered during an overflight and roughly mapped during the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . Aerial photographs that were taken during the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) under the direction of the US polar explorer Finn Ronne were used by the British geographer Derek Searle from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey in 1960 for more precise mapping. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the glacier in 1977 after the British composer Frederick Delius (1862-1934).
