Applied and Environmental Microbiology (abbreviated Appl. Environ. Microbiol. ) Is a biweekly scientific journal that is peer-reviewed by the American Society for Microbiology . It first appeared in 1953 under the name Applied Microbiology and was given its current name in 1975.
