Motion is video software from the US company Apple . It is used to create animations for film , video , television and DVD menus. The program offers a real-time design environment and 3D graphics animation as well as integration with Apple's Final Cut Pro , where e.g. For example, the texts of a motion project can be changed via the plug-in interface.

history

The first version of the program appeared in the summer of 2004. The software was part of Final Cut Studio , which also included the programs DVD Studio Pro , Final Cut Pro , LiveType and Soundtrack . Since June 2011, Motion has been marketed as standalone software on the Mac App Store online platform .

On July 23, 2009, Apple introduced Final Cut Studio 3 , which also included Motion 4 .

On June 21, 2011, Final Cut Pro X (version 10.0) was released along with Motion 5 and Compressor 4 . Since then, the applications are no longer available from the Final Cut Studio software collection , but can be obtained as separate programs from the Mac App Store platform .
