Final Cut Studio was a collection of programs from the US company Apple for video editing . The programs included the administration of the data of individual film rolls, the actual video editing, the installation of 3D effects with real-time preview , as well as color correction, format conversion and DVD creation. Final Cut Studio was first presented in April 2005 at the National Association of Broadcasters .

On July 23, 2009, the company introduced version 3 of the collection. This ran exclusively on Intel Mac platforms. Version 3 contained the programs Final Cut Pro 7 , Motion 4 , Soundtrack Pro 3 , Color 1.5 , Compressor 3.5 and DVD Studio Pro 4 . Dealing with the newer Blu-ray Disc was also possible.

With the launch of Final Cut Pro X in June 2011, Final Cut Pro , Motion and Compressor are available individually via the manufacturer's own sales platform, the Mac App Store . The distribution of Final Cut Studio has been set.
