April Love is a song from 1957 composed by Sammy Fain and lyrics by Paul Francis Webster . It was written as the theme song for the film Young Luck in April (original title: April Love) and presented and sung by Pat Boone , who alongside Shirley Jones also played the leading role in the film. He was accompanied by Billy Vaughn and his orchestra. The song received an Oscar nomination .
