Ḫedammu

Ḫedammu , Hurrian called Apše ("snake"), is a terrible sea ​​dragon of the Hurrian - Hittite mythology, which was up to mischief on the Syrian coast.

Ḫedammu is the son of the god Kumarbi and the sea ​​daughter Šertapšuruḫi . The sea dragon had a huge appetite and almost ate the goddess Ištar / Šawoška , but in the end he succumbed to her seductive skills.
