Apsnypress ( Russian Апсныпресс ; Abkhazian Аҧсныпресс) is the news agency of the Republic of Abkhazia, which is internationally recognized by only a few countries . The agency was founded in 1995 and is based in the Abkhazian capital Sukhumi .
The agency's working languages are Russian , Abkhazian and English . According to Apsnypress, it has also set itself the goal of improving the public perception of Abkhazia abroad.
At the end of 2012, a journalist from Apsnypress was murdered while investigating unknown perpetrators in Kabardino-Balkaria , Russia .
